Tubi x Filmhub Distribution Opportunity

We're incredibly excited to share that Filmhub, a worldwide all-rights sales and distribution company, has partnered with Tubi, the free streaming service that entertains over 100 million monthly active users, to distribute HBCU First LOOK Festival films. All 2023-2025 festival entrants are eligible.

With a commitment to "Elevating Future Storytellers," you are invited to be among the films selected to participate in this unique opportunity. If 100 qualifying films accept Filmhub's offer and meet all legal, technical, and delivery requirements by December 1, 2025, Tubi will have the opportunity to feature them in a dedicated HBCU First LOOK Film Festival collection for three months, spotlighting your exceptional work.
Requirements
To qualify for this distribution opportunity, you must follow these qualifications:

You MUST be an HBCU student or Alumni within the last 7-10 years.

You MUST have a project that is at least 5 minutes long. Anything under 5 minutes will not be able to be submitted.

Your film CANNOT currently be on another streaming platform or under another distribution deal
How To Submit

You will sign a distribution agreement with Filmhub, who is a trusted partner of Tubi’s.

You will receive a link to sign this agreement based on indicating your interest here. If you do not indicate interest on this form, we will not send you an agreement. (A copy of the agreement can be seen here. Changes to this agreement are not permitted.)

You will grant Filmhub Exclusive Rights for your film for 3 months (2/1/26-5/1/26) and Non-Exclusive rights for at least 9 months after 5/1/26.

You will submit your deliverables to Filmhub at Filmhub.com using this link.

Your deliverables must be submitted by 12/1/25 to Filmhub to be eligible and your assets must clear Filmhub QC by 12/15/25, so Filmhub can deliver the assets to Tubi.

If 100 titles from our festival applicants meet the legal and technical requirements and deadlines for distribution, Tubi will have the opportunity to release your titles exclusively on 2/1/26 in the US.

After the 3-month exclusive window, Filmhub will work to distribute your titles on other platforms according to the available rights.

For titles that perform well, Tubi may ask to extend that license unless you remove the title from distribution via Filmhub.
